Continuation

*clears throat*
Aaaaalright! I'm back at the library where the connection is strong enough
to actually upload more pictures! *joyousness*
Ahem.
So, here are the rest of the pictures from last weekend. :-)
Check out these amazing blue cowgirl boots! I love them!

Almost-the-weekend trip!

On Friday Noel and I packed up some bottles of water and the camera and headed out to go see the Tonto Natural Bridge which is about 1 1/2 hrs away from us. We were totally excited about getting to clamber around on the trails and work our way down to the bottom of the canyon! However, in all our brilliant planning we never checked the State Parks website to make sure that the park would be open so when we got there... we found this:

*sigh*

So! We turned the car around and went to find something *else* to explore!
We ended up driving down the 260 for a little ways before giving up on being able to reach the Rim. But we did drive by an *amazing* ranch house that had a gorgeous patio. *drools* Ahem, anyway, then we stopped at a rest area near a campground just to get out, stretch our legs, and see what we could see.

This bug was so weird! I think it looks like a mosquito but Noel says it's a wasp.

It made me think of a snake...

To Be Continued.

Victory, sweet victory.

So, last night Noel and I were playing scrabble and I had the *most* amazing word ever! Okay, so it's not a crazy fancy word, or even anything out of the ordinary. But! It's eight letters long. Yes my dear readers I got 80 points from "Drifting"! (15 for the word, double word tile makes 30 and all seven tiles from my board is an extra 50 points!) WOO-HOO! *cough*

Anyways, now to share a little happiness with y'all.

Sunset at the Golf Course

Last night Noel and I went down to one of the (many!) golf courses around here so he could work on his l33t putting skillz. I however, am pretty much talentless when it comes to sports so I wandered around the course, camera in hand, and took some pictures. And now, ladies and gents, I give you the fruit of my labors.

First off, some dirt!

Untitled
Seriously, the ground was so cool. I just couldn't help myself.

Then, check out this *cloud* thing.
Cloud Madness
Isn't that awesome?

Next, the must-have shoe shot.
Untitled
And last but not least, a golf ball shot. :-)
Untitled
The grass outside of the putting practice area was *so* soft, and ridiculously deep. I had to prop my camera up on my flip-flops just to get a view that included the golf ball at all!
Surprise!
p.s. Yes, there is a photo in that link.

Scrabble!

As we're now broke college kids we've been spending more of our evenings at home and we've been trying to be a bit more creative with ways to use those hours. We've played Monopoly, dominos, cards... (A few days ago Noel hauled out the guitar and we made up some lyrics about living down here to go along with the two chords we can play with any consistency in tone. :-P) Two nights ago we were *really* bored so we went to [gasp of horror] Walmart and [another gasp] wandered aimlessly around, just like the kids we used to make fun of. Sad day. :-P But! We did pick up Scrabble, and we've been playing matches, and rematches, and tie breakers since!

(sorry this one took so long to get up, the wireless has been finicky lately and won't hold a connection long enough to upload it on flickr. :-P)

*cough*

So. I know, I know, this place is in a shameful state of disrepair. But! In my defense, my former home had no wifi, and I was busy as all get-out working on packing and moving and all of the good things that moving entails. *nods* But, as I get settled in down here, and as long as the (coughstolencough) Wi-fi doesn't go down, I think I will be visiting more often. Hopefully. It'll be slow for a while though as we get jobs, and schedules, and routines, so bear with me.
